Hey, Wordsworth! Ok if I write to you now? Your Name * Sure! What is your name? (Do you know what my name was originally? It was Iole. That's Hawaiian for 'rat'. I'm sure glad Frances changed it. I had enough trouble being teased for just being a poet!) age * grade * So, how old are you? What grade are you in? * (I was "born" in, let me see..., oh, here it is, inside the book-cover - '2003'. I guess that makes me about 6 years old. Of course us book characters don't get birth-certificates. They give us something called an 'ISBN' instead. Thats an "International Standard Book Number" and it gets filed at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., just to tell everbody, "I Exist!" Well, that's ok, but I'd rather have a birth certificate. I've met quite a few other mice in that library catalog, but I think I'm the first and only one that's a mouse-poet.
